public class SimpleOneToVirtualOne
extends SimpleRelation

A one-to-virtual-one relation is using a one-to-many mapping but set the various collection getters/setters to protected and exposes instead some helper setter/getter to set the entity as if it was mapped as a real one to one. The main benefit of this technique is to leverage the lazy loading of the collection holding the entity.
